A fast-acting topical spray by Boehringer Ingelheim, providing broad-spectrum protection against fleas, ticks, and biting lice in both dogs and cats. Unlike pipette treatments, the spray format allows flexible dosing based on the pet's weight and coat length, making it particularly useful for very young animals, multi-pet households, and severe existing infestations. The 100 ml bottle delivers approximately 0.5 ml per spray pump.
Composition
Active ingredient: Fipronil 0.25% w/v (2.5 mg per ml). Hydro-alcoholic vehicle.
Dosage & Administration
Apply in a well-ventilated area, ideally wearing gloves. Hold the bottle upright 10–20 cm from the coat and spray against the lay of the hair, covering the entire body including back, sides, abdomen, legs, shoulders, and neck. For the head area, spray onto a gloved hand and rub gently into the coat. Do not get product near the eyes or mouth. Apply until the coat is damp to the skin. Do not towel dry — allow to dry naturally.
- Basic dose: 3 ml per kg body weight (approximately 2 pump applications per kg for the 100 ml bottle)
- For thick or long coats: up to 6 ml per kg (4 pump applications per kg) to ensure full penetration
- Minimum treatment interval: 4 weeks
- Suitable for dogs and cats from 2 days of age
Do not bathe the animal for 48 hours after application.
