Omeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to decrease stomach acid and aid in the treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal ulcers and erosions. It is commonly prescribed off-label in veterinary medicine and has a strong track record of safety and effectiveness when used appropriately. The oral suspension format ensures precise dosing — particularly useful for small breeds, kittens, or animals that cannot swallow tablets. Prescription only — for use under veterinary supervision.
How to Use
Shake well before use. Administer orally. Typical dose: 0.5–1.0 mg/kg once daily, or as directed by a veterinarian. Administer on an empty stomach for best absorption. If vomiting or loss of appetite occurs, it can be given with food. Do not stop treatment suddenly — reduce gradually as directed. Prescription only. Available in 50 ml.
