Royal Canin Urinary S/O is for the nutritional management of cats with struvite or oxalate crystals and lower urinary tract disease. It is a complete dietetic feed formulated to dissolve struvite stones and reduce their recurrence through its urine acidifying properties. Thanks to the high moisture content of wet food, Urinary S/O increases urine dilution — since nearly 64% of FLUTD cases are idiopathic cystitis, a wet diet is preferred in cases of recurring cystitis. Low Relative Super Saturation (RSS) promotes undersaturated urine, creating an environment unfavourable to the development and proliferation of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals. The larger urinary volume also helps ensure more frequent bladder emptying. Suitable for mixing with Urinary S/O dry food for a texture that pleases even the fussiest eater. Feed for 5–12 weeks for the dissolution of struvite stones, and up to 6 months for the reduction of struvite stone recurrence. The cat should be regularly re-evaluated by a veterinarian to assess the relevance of lifelong feeding. Always ensure fresh water is available. Available in 85 g.
