A nutraceutical renal support supplement developed by Vetoquinol for dogs and cats managing chronic kidney disease (CKD) or chronic renal insufficiency. Ipakitine works by binding dietary phosphates in the gut before they are absorbed, helping to reduce the strain on the kidneys and support their normal function. The 60g jar provides approximately one month's supply for a 5 kg pet.
Composition
Lactose, calcium carbonate, chitosan, soy hydrolysate. Analytical constituents: calcium 3.7%, crude protein 4%, crude fiber 0.5%, crude oils and fats 0.5%. One level measuring scoop (included) = 1g of powder.
Dosage & Administration
Give 1g per 5 kg of body weight twice daily (morning and evening), mixed directly into food. For dry food, lightly moisten the kibble so the powder is well absorbed. Fresh water should be available at all times. Use for up to 6 months initially, with a veterinary check-up every 6 months. Administration can be lifelong. Suitable for both dogs and cats.
