Advocate is a patented endectocide combining imidacloprid and moxidectin — the only spot-on product to control both external and internal parasites in a single monthly application. Imidacloprid kills adult fleas within 12 hours and controls flea larvae in the environment, while moxidectin is absorbed systemically to treat and prevent heartworm, gastrointestinal worms, mange mites, ear mites, and lice. The broadest antiparasitic spectrum available in a single product for dogs. Safe from 7 weeks of age.
How to Use
Part the fur at the base of the neck between the shoulder blades. Apply the entire contents of one pipette (4 ml) directly onto the skin in one or two spots. Apply once monthly. Do not use concurrently with other macrocyclic lactone products. Do not apply to irritated skin.
Composition per pipette (4 ml)
Imidacloprid 400 mg (10% w/v), Moxidectin 100 mg (2.5% w/v). Excipient: Butylhydroxytoluene.
Indications
- Fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) — kills 98–100% of adult fleas within 12 hours; prevents re-infestation for 4 weeks.
- Chewing lice (Trichodectes canis).
- Ear mites (Otodectes cynotis).
- Sarcoptic mange (Sarcoptes scabiei).
- Demodectic mange (Demodex canis).
- Heartworm prevention (Dirofilaria immitis L3 and L4 larvae).
- Gastrointestinal roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala).
- Whipworm (Trichuris vulpis).
