BAYER Drontal Dog 6 Tablets
A broad-spectrum oral deworming treatment for dogs, originally developed by Bayer and now distributed by Elanco. Drontal combines three active ingredients that work together to treat and eliminate all major intestinal worm types in a single dose. The tablets are flavored and bone-shaped for easy acceptance. Each pack contains 6 tablets, with dosing based on the dog's body weight.
Composition
Per tablet: Febantel 150 mg, Pyrantel embonate 144 mg, Praziquantel 50 mg. Bone-shaped, scored, flavored tablet. Can be divided into halves.
Dosage & Administration
Give orally at a dose of 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight as a single dose. Can be given with or without food — no fasting required. Tablets may be given directly by hand or hidden in food. For Giardia, give the same dose for 3 consecutive days under veterinary supervision.
- 2–5 kg: half tablet
- 5–10 kg: 1 tablet
- 10–20 kg: 2 tablets
- 20–30 kg: 3 tablets
- For each additional 5 kg, add half a tablet
Adult dogs should be dewormed at least every 3 months. Puppies should be treated every 2 weeks from 2 to 12 weeks of age, then monthly until 6 months of age. Not for use in dogs weighing less than 2 kg.
