Farmina Vet Life Struvite is a complete dietetic food for cats formulated for the dissolution of struvite calculi, management of Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD), and reduction of struvite stone recurrence. The low concentrations of protein, calcium, phosphorus, and magnesium create an unfavourable environment for crystal aggregation. Added DL-methionine and ammonium chloride induce and maintain an acid urinary pH, favouring stone dissolution, inhibiting neoformation, and creating an unfavourable environment for bacterial proliferation. Recommended period of use: 5–12 weeks for struvite dissolution; up to 6 months for reduction of recurrence. Always ensure fresh water is available. Seek veterinary advice before use and before extending the feeding period. Available in 2 kg.
