Cladaxxa is a first-line antibiotic for dogs and cats, combining amoxicillin and clavulanic acid for the treatment of bacterial infections including skin and soft tissue diseases (abscesses, pyoderma, gingivitis, stomatitis), respiratory infections, genitourinary infections, and enteritis. Clavulanic acid inactivates bacterial beta-lactamase, restoring amoxicillin's bactericidal effectiveness against resistant strains. Ready-scored, flavoured tablet — halved tablets can be returned to the protective blister packaging for use within 24 hours. Prescription only — for use under veterinary supervision.
How to Use
Administer orally directly into the mouth or crumbled into food, at a dose of 12.5 mg/kg body weight twice daily for 5–7 days. The dose may be doubled (up to 25 mg/kg) twice daily for difficult-to-treat infections, particularly respiratory cases, or as directed by a veterinarian. Prescription only.
Composition
Per tablet: Amoxicillin 200 mg (as amoxicillin trihydrate), Clavulanic Acid 50 mg (as sodium clavulanate).
