Royal Canin Veterinary Cat Renal Chicken CIG 85 gm

Royal Canin Renal with Chicken is a highly palatable, chicken-based wet food specially formulated to care for the kidney health of adult cats under veterinary supervision. A complete dietetic feed designed to support renal function in cases of chronic renal insufficiency. Contains EPA and DHA, a complex of antioxidants, and a low phosphorus level — since inadequate kidney workload can induce a uremic crisis. An adapted content of high-quality, highly digestible protein helps reduce kidney workload, while alkalinising agents help manage the metabolic acidosis that can accompany chronic kidney disease. The designed aromatic profile is tailored to a cat's specific taste preferences, helping stimulate appetite in cases of food aversion. This is a veterinary exclusive formula — always follow your veterinarian's nutritional recommendations.

Renal diets are recommended as soon as creatinine moves out of reference range, before disease progression and inappetence develop. In most cases, renal diets may be continued for the cat's lifetime, with a full health check recommended every 6 months and periodic monitoring of renal biomarkers and blood mineral levels. In cases of diet-induced hypercalcaemia, switch to the Early Renal diet. Always ensure fresh water is available. Available in 85 g.
