Vetsalve is a topical skin salve for wound management in dogs and cats, suitable for infected and non-infected, acute and chronic wounds, abrasions, and burns. The key active ingredient — Norwegian spruce resin (Picea abies) — forms an occlusive protective layer on the skin, proven to boost wound closure by up to 47% and effective against MRSA, Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Candida albicans. Not suitable for animals with known allergy to rosin. Use within 12 months of opening.
How to Use
Clip hair around the wound and clean thoroughly. Apply a 1–2 mm layer directly onto the wound once or twice daily. Cover with a breathable dressing if required. Reduce to every other day as exudate decreases. For external use only. Available in 20 ml tube.
