ZOOVET Itraconazol is a high-potency, broad-spectrum triazole antifungal agent. It is specifically engineered to treat a wide variety of fungal infections in dogs and cats, ranging from common skin issues like ringworm to complex systemic infections affecting internal organs. Indications & Use:
Dermatological Infections: Highly effective against ringworm (tinea) caused by dermatophytes.
Systemic Mycoses: Targets deep-seated infections in the lungs, mouth, throat, and nails.
Prophylactic Support: Used as a preventative measure for immunocompromised pets prone to secondary fungal growth.
Advanced Formulation: Suitable for "Pulse Therapy," a method that maximizes efficacy while reducing the risk of side effects.
Dosage & Administration Guidelines
The duration and frequency of treatment depend on the type of infection:
Pulse Therapy (Standard): Administer 1 dose every 24 hours for 2 consecutive days, followed by a 5-day break. Repeat this cycle for at least 4 weeks or until clinical remission.
Daily Treatment (Systemic): 1 tablet per 20 kg of body weight (5 mg/kg) every 24 hours for a minimum of 4 weeks.
General Dose Range: 5 to 10 mg per kg of body weight (1 tablet covers 10–20 kg).
Safety & Storage
Contraindications: Do not use in pregnant or lactating females, or in pets with known liver (hepatic) failure.
Interactions: Avoid co-administration with antacids, as they can significantly reduce absorption.
